Worms occasionally sends me on kijiji-tarantula rescue missions but this is a new level even for me.  That little black lump in the first photo?  That’s the spider.  Its an a. avicularia (pink toe), which is an arboreal (climbing) species that requires high humidity.  He was on mostly bare glass, with a handful of bark chips, a bone dry and moldy water/food dish and nothing to climb.  Its a little hard to tell in the second photo, but his legs are jacked up.  Three of them look like stiff, mangled pipe cleaners.

I’ve built him a quicky arboreal habitat with stuff I had laying around, and he’s moving around surprisingly well for how rough he is.  I hope he makes it.  You can do it little dude! (or dudette.. didn’t want to stress him any more trying to check.)

Guy I got him from apparently had two more T’s which I was going to take.. except he couldn’t find them.  :\

First of the studio sale molds for homemadehorrors. This is as far as we got before Worm’s plague reached critical levels and she had to retreat (but not before passing super flu onto everyone here. What a jerk.)
Waiting on the humidity to break so I can do some non-junk pulls and the first final parts will be off.

Dannis had a brief bout of being a wizard, before being sent back to necromancy school.  I spilled a drink or something on the rest of the page so most of the little story/comic drawings are missing.

More ‘quality’ signage and badges from Fanex.

Signage from fanex.  Lost the original on the trip home so crummy cell phone pic will have to do.  This set didn’t find a home (was so close a few times), so I may do it a quick digital badge and list it later if anyone is interested.

Well I had a big ‘I survived fan expo’ post written out but then Tumblr ate it.  Yay.

Shared a booth with homemadehorrors,  better update coming when I feel like re-writing it.   In the mean time, thanks to everyone who stopped by this weekend!

Gouache?

Hey, artist friends who use gouache, whats a good brand (preferably buyable at Currys)?  For base colours under pencil crayons.

I can’t find my water colours anywhere and half of them are empty/dried out anyway.  Time for an upgrade.

I wish we could have chickens so much. They were allowed for awhile in Oshawa but I think they got banned again.  WORMS you had better get at least a dozen of the fluffy ones when you move.

Find myself and homemadehorrors next weekend at Fan Expo!  Worms, Bones and I will be at booth 523 in the south building.
As always, stock is limited, so if you have your heart set on a certain colour its better to stop by on Thursday or Friday!
